All gymnasts are assessed by the head coach upon joining who establishes the level and class they are most suited for. From there the frequency of training required to compete or progress can be discussed.
Spectators are not allowed in the class as it distracts both the children and coaches. Throughout the year there are events to showcase progress made. These events are structured like a competition with a performance which focuses children and gives invaluable experience.
We see both physical and mental benefits in training for rhythmic gymnastics with KGA. Long, lean, toned muscles coupled with flexibility and strength to name a few. All classes are taught in the Russian style of coaching which advocates discipline and structure in a fun environment. This develops mental strength and focus for all aspects of life. If your daughter reaches a certain standard, and is interested, she can compete in one of the competitions we attend during the year.
Rhythmic Gymnastics links expressive dance steps with skillful manipulations of the ball, rope, ribbon, hoop or clubs. They benefit from perfect posture, toned figure, flexibility and graceful movement. Acrobatic gymnastics is more focused on strength and muscular physique.
KGA coaches are always watching and assessing progress. Graduation takes place once a year but if significant progress is made outside of this, KGA head coach will make an assessment and approach the parents to see if insterested in the next steps.
